GOD IS!

When the Apostle Paul looked upon the religious objective of the Athenians and their erected altar to the Unknown God, he seized the opportunity to declare to them the True God.

Can we not see the Apostle pointing with his index finger to the altar, and then looking up and pointing heavenwards and giving his testimony by saying, " Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, Him declare I unto you " ?

And as he does 'so, he proclaims God, in a masterly address, as the Universal Provider of things.

He says He is the CREATOR of everything, for " God made the world and all things therein." He is the POSSESSOR of all things, for " He is Lord of heaven and earth." He is the GIVER of life to every one, for He "giveth to all life, and breath." He is the DISTRIBUTOR of all things, for " He giveth to all . , . all things." He is the UNITER of all men to one another, for He hath made of one blood all nations of men." He is the ALLOCATOR Of all things, for He " causeth all nations of men to dwell on the earth, and hath determined the bounds of their habitations." He is the ATTRACTION of all men, for they are made to feel after Him." He is the OMNIPRESENT ONE to all men, for He is not far from every one of us." He is the ENVIRONMENT of all men, " for in Him we live and move and have our being." He is the FATHER-CREATOR of all men, for men are said to be " His offspring," He is the GOD of all men, hence He " now commandeth all men everywhere to repent." He is the JUDGE of all men, for " He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness." He is willing to be the SAVIOR of all men, and He has given " assurance " of this, for He hath raised up Christ from the dead. He is the RULER of all men, for when it says He will judge the world it means He will administer for all men in a rule which will be a rule of righteousness.

What a simple, complete, and yet profound revelation of God we have in these fourteen particulars in Acts 17:22-31
